Those pics turned out really well with your camera.
Wonderful pictures... I get those birds here as well... And yes... it cost an arm and a leg to feed those darn gold finches... but worth it. My favorite birds are orioes and chickadees...
Carren, Stopped at L&M...50# bag of thistle for the finches-$57.00, 20# bag of songbird mix- $15.00, 50# bag of dogfood-$17.00 Hmmmm. Where is the Mastercard Priceless??? At least the orioles are fairly cheap to treat-$1.59 for a big jar of grape jelly. I think the birds are in cahoots with the oil cartels! At least we are catching slab crappies off our dock so we don't use any gas for motorboats! $1.99 for a scoop of crappie minnows...
My favorite birds are those gold digging finches and the distinctive whistle of the orioles but...give me those grosebeaks anyday...they have personality like the chickadees!
